Welcome to Life Rescue an American Heart Association Training Site

Life Rescue is now conducting classes with the updated 2020 AHA Course Guidelines for both Basic Life Support and Heartsaver programs. As a Training Site we support the mission of the American Heart Association, by providing quality training programs and resources that meet the needs of healthcare professionals, business personnel and the community. Our courses embrace the latest technology and encourage all students to take advantage of the eLearning blended format. 

The online courses are interactive, self-paced, multidisciplinary which offers a full overview of resuscitation changes impacting both basic life support and heartsaver courses. The eLearning portion of the course is designed to teach students the cognitive information needed. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete hands on skills session with an AHA Instructor. The Training Site adheres to all rules and regulations regarding the different disciplines under  American Heart Association. We congratulate you on your choice and commitment in obtaining some life saving skills that will strengthen each link in the chain of survival. You are encouraged to take the time to read and go through the information provided for each course discipline, which will prepare you to perform the necessary skills to become a life saver. 

  • Life Rescue will begin offering onsite classes on June 1, 2021 – we will adhere to the guidelines set forth by the American Heart Association and the CDC.

PAYMENT & REGISTRATION – Please note that the online course key is a separate fee than the onsite practice and skills, you are able to pay for both the online and onsite courses by clicking the link below and be directed to the American Heart Association online platform (shopcpr.heart.org). You may also schedule an appointment and view the course calendar for Life Rescue availability. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a 2-year digital ecard certificate with any time, anywhere access to the certificate and training history.

  • Students who take the Online Courses do not need the student textbook when they complete skills. 
  • Students who take the Onsite Course will need to purchase a textbook, it is a requirement set forth by AHA that states a student must have a book before during and after a course.

Basic Life Support After completing the online portion, students will attend a structured BLS Hand-On Session with an AHA Instructor Cost $50.00. This session focuses on meaningful skills practice, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols, and skills testing. Where available, students may also complete the Hands-On Session with a voice-assisted manikin (VAM).

After completing the online portion, students will attend a structured Heartsaver Hands-On Session with an AHA Instructor Cost $50.00. This session provides meaningful skills practice and testing with a focus given to high-quality CPR that improves the chain of survival.

After completing the online portion, students will attend a structured Heartsaver Hands-On Session with an AHA Instructor Cost $50.00. This course trains participants first aid basics for the most common first aid emergencies, including how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills.

After completing the online portion, students will attend a structured Heartsaver Pediatric Hands-On Session with an AHA Instructor Cost $50.00. This course trains participants how to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. 

After completing the online portion, students will attend a structured on site course and a monitoring session with a AHA Training Center Faculty Cost $300.00. The course educates instructor candidates on how to adequately use AHA Instructor teaching materials and follow AHA Instructor course policies. It will prepare, teach, test, and remediate the Instructor candidate. Instructors will be issued a two year instructor card after completing all stages of the course.

After completing the online portion, students will attend a structured onsite course and a monitoring session with a AHA Training Center Faculty Cost $300.00. The course educates Instructor candidates on how to adequately use AHA Instructor teaching materials and follow AHA Instructor course policies. It will prepare, teach, test, and remediate the Instructor candidate. Once the Instructor candidate has completed all three stages they will be issued a two year course card.

Onsite Course Information

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course. The training reinforces healthcare professionals understanding of the importance of early CPR and defibrillation, basic steps of performing CPR, choking relief, the use of an AED, and the role of each link in the Chain of Survival. The BLS Course Tuition fee includes the student E-textbook $85.00

Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches first aid basic that include medical, injury, environmental emergencies along with CPR and the use of an AED. The HS First Aid, CPR, AED course tuition fee  includes the cost of the textbook $85.00.

Heartsaver® CPR AED Course is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking for adults. This course teaches skills with AHA’s research-proven Practice-While-Watching (PWW) technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback and guide the students’ learning  skills. The HS CPR, AED course tuition fee includes the cost of the textbook $65.00.

Heartsaver First Aid Course is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches basic first aid topics covered include: • First Aid Basics • Medical Emergencies • Injury Emergencies • Environmental Emergencies The HS First Aid tuition fee includes the student e-book $65.00
